As an aging Boomer and die hard prep during the Swinging 60's I steadfastly avoided bell bottoms or flared pants of any kind (w/ the exception of that one really cute outfit.). And yet here I sit, a 75yo grandmother, in my Vuori Elevation "bootcut" (flared) pants planning on taking a pair of Tuckernuck Ashford flares on my next business trip. I can't explain it. I don't understand it. But it's kind of fun and working for me. I have steadfastly clung to straight leg "cigarette" pants a la Jackie Kennedy for decades and yet here we are. If not now, when? LOL.
Good for you!! I always think that finding what works for you is just what you need to do. I looked at those Ashford flares as well (for a long time)--they look lovely and I hope you enjoy them!

actually I would size down! I found them in a thrift shop so I don’t know about brand new but they didn’t seem too stretched out. and they’ve lasted so many washes (and some drying). still as comfy as ever.
Totally agree on any kind of mule or backless shoe/slide unless at the beach or pool. How do people walk OR drive in them?

The Ashfords are, like the Vuori Elevantions (recommend highly), extremely cozy. I just hope it's cold in DC next week!
